Constance "Connie" Eloise Koehler Mangold, of La Coste, passed away on November 5, 2019 at the age of 81 years. She was born December 24, 1937 in Macdona, Texas to Fred William Koehler and Octavia Olivia Keller Koehler.

Connie graduated from La Coste High School in 1956. On January 30, 1959, she married Patrick James Mangold in San Antonio. They were married for forty-three years when Patrick passed away on May 28, 2002.

While attending school, she lovingly cared for her grandmother, Helen Conrad Keller. She also spent much of her time helping at the La Coste Mercantile.

After high school, she worked for four years at the La Coste Mercantile and then two years at Frost Bank. She then decided to work alongside her husband, Patrick, as a farmer, rancher and homemaker. Connie loved to cook, sew and always had a big garden. She, and her children, would often sell the fresh sweet corn and vegetables she grew in her garden. Connie also taught religion classes at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for many years, as well as serving as chapter volunteer for the La Coste 4-H club.

Survivors include her daughters, Mildred (Jay) Bendele of Dunlay, Lois (Jake) Neely of Columbus, Kansas, Bonnie Mangold of La Coste, Beth (Butch) Cook of Pearsall; sons, Rollin (Dawn) Mangold of La Coste and Patrick J. Mangold II of San Antonio; adopted son, Matthew Mangold; grandchildren, Lisa Marie (Lance) Unger and Rollin "Walt" Mangold; great-grandson, Layton Jax Unger; brothers, Frank Louis Koehler of Macdona and Eugene (Sandy) Koehler of San Antonio; sister, Claudia (Fred) Mosley of San Antonio, brother-in-law, Larry Grover of San Antonio and sisters-in-law, Florence Koehler of Macdona and Mary Ann Mangold of Devine.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Octavia Koehler; husband, Patrick Mangold; sister, Marian Grover; brother, Fredrick Julian Koehler; brother-in-law, Ralph Mangold and sisters-in-law, Linda Koehler and Cindy Koehler.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday, November 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Connie's memory to the St. Ann's Society of Our Lady of Grace, Our Lady of Grace Religion/CCD or masses.
