Clara Ann Zinsmeyer, of Castroville, passed away at her home on August 25, 2021at the age of 64.  She was born January 4, 1957 in Castroville, Texas to Edwin Charles Zinsmeyer and Virginia Mae Wurzbach Zinsmeyer.

In 1975, Clara graduated from Medina Valley High School. On September 20, 1976, she went to work at USAA. She retired from USAA after thirty-six years.

Clara was a member of the St. Ann's Altar Society. She also helped with the church quilt raffle and rummage sale at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. She participated in the Medina County Relay for Life. Clara loved to travel and especially going to the casino in Kickapoo with friends and family.

Survivors include her brothers, Patrick Zinsmeyer (Norma), James Zinsmeyer; sister, Karen Biediger (Dennis) all of Castroville; nieces and nephews, Alan Zinsmeyer (Beth), Heidi White (Kevin), Jacob Zinsmeyer (Kerri), Mark Biediger (Lauren), Bryan Biediger (Chrystal), Theresa Long (Charles), and Sarah Estrada (Andrew); numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Virginia Mae Zinsmeyer.

Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, Texas. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Clara's memory to St. Ann's Altar Society, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, or the charity of your choice.
