Carmen Gonzales Solis, of La Coste, passed away in San Antonio early in the morning on April 28, 2020 at the age of 77 years. She was born March 23, 1943 in La Coste, one of thirteen children born to Jose Hernandez Gonzales and Lazara Lopez Gonzales.

Carmen grew up in La Coste and was a graduate of La Coste High School. She married Jesus Franco Solis at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Rudy Campos of La Coste and John Steven Solis of Kerrville; siblings, Rumaldo Gonzales (Irma) of La Coste, Maria Elena Lopez of La Coste, Delia De Leon (Joe) of La Coste, Josie Garcia (Joe Frank) of Hondo, Janie Rodriguez (Efrain) of Yancey, Ofelia Garcia of San Antonio, Margie G. Prado (George) of San Antonio, Joe L. Gonzales of La Coste, Irene Sandoval of Hondo, Aurora G. Reiler (Daryl) of La Coste and Rosemary Floyd (Dale) of Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Lazara Gonzales; her husband, Jesus Solis; sister, Linda G. Nino and brother-in-law, Luciano Z. Lopez, Jr.

Due to current limitations on Social Gatherings, services will be private for immediate family only. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held at a later date for extended family and friends at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Services will be announced accordingly.
