Carlos Reyes, of La Coste passed away November 23, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born September 6, 1949 in Castroville to Luciano and Dionesia Flores Reyes.

Carlos served in the United States Army during Vietnam in telecommunications. He worked for the City of San Antonio and retired after 24 years. Everyone knew him as "The Mechanic" in La Coste. He was also a hard-core Washington Redskins fan.

Survivors include his wife, Evangelina E. Reyes; children, Maggie Reyes, Josefina Reyes, Peter Reyes and Emiliano Reyes all of La Coste; grandchildren, Desiree Reyes, Emily Reyes, Gracie Jane Reyes, and Juan Madrigal, Jr.; twin great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jeremiah Grubbs; and sisters, Linda Machado and Dolores Reyes.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert "Beto" Reyes; and sister, Virginia Galvan.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
