Betty Joyce Williams Denton, of Port Mansfield, Texas passed away January 7, 2024 at the age of 74. She was born November 13, 1949 in Edna, Texas to Ronnie Ell Williams and Ella Pearl Firestone Williams.

Survivors include her children, Michael Weide (April) of Port Mansfield and Carey Weide (Christopher Painter) of Poth; an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Patty, Anna, and Kathy; brother, Billy and sister-in-law, Kay.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty's heart overflowed with compassion. Her hands, calloused from hard work, beautiful paintings and sewing; cradled babies, soothed the elderly and homeless. Her relationship with God was intimate and unshakable. She prayed with passion and faith (the kind that moves mountains), not only for herself but for everyone she encountered. Her bible was well-worn, its pages marked with tears and revelations. She left to everyone a legacy of love. We all carry her spirit forward. Let us remember her forgiveness, and power of love. As we bid farewell to our beloved Betty, let us celebrate her extraordinary journey. Let her memory be a beacon-a reminder that ordinary moments, when infused with love and purpose, become extraordinary. Betty's light will forever illuminate our lives.
