Betty Jane Compton Sheldon, 93 of San Antonio passed away July 30, 2024. She was born November 1, 1930 in Waxahachie, Texas to Dewey Edward Compton and Betty Elizabeth Scott Compton.

On January 17, 1951, Betty married Ray Arrington Sheldon in San Antonio, Texas. They were blessed with fifty-five years of marriage and three children.

Survivors include her children, Robert Sheldon, Laura Sheldon Barron (Gilbert), and Joe Sheldon (Rosemarie Kanusky); grandchildren, Andrea Sheldon Markee (Jeff), James Sheldon (Taryn), Crystal Roberson; great-grandchildren, Palmer and Parker Sheldon, Alexander Roberson, Leasia Roberts, and Wyatt Duncan.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Sheldon; an infant brother; and brother, Edward Eugene Compton (Gwen).

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
