Ayanna Jamie Aisha Mayfield, of San Antonio passed away June 18, 2024, at the age of 44. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to James Earl Samuels and Maureen McIntyre Samuels.

Ayanna graduated from Lutheran East High School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She served in the United States Air Force for ten years. Ayanna graduated from San Antonio College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Network Administration.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, with a minor in Network Technology, specializing in Microsoft systems from Capella University.  Additionally, she holds a Graduate Certificate in leadership from Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University.

Survivors include her spouse, Vanessa Mayfield of San Antonio; son, Jeramyah Samuels of San Antonio; stepson, Samuel Cameron; mother, Maureen Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Joylyn Winter of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Marcia Winter of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jazz Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Christopher Baldwin of San Antonio and Micah Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Maya, Jonathan, Sydney, Brandon, Bryce, Brianna, Bianca and Christopher, Jr.; dog mom to Princess, Bella, and Tiny.

Ayanna was preceded in death by her father, James Samuels, and nephew, Jeffrey Sims and her fur baby Ace.

Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life with Military Honors at 3:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
