Apolonio "Paul" Solis, Jr., of Castroville passed away January 27, 2025 at the age of 69. He was born September 17, 1955 in Castroville, Texas to Apolonio Solis, Sr. and Laura Mascorro Solis.

On February 22, 1975, Paul married Lilley Anna Costilla at St. Louis Catholic Church. They were blessed with forty-two years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2017.

Survivors include his sons, Paul Ramirez (Debra) of Dunlay and Jeremy Solis of Castroville; daughter, Amanda Solis of Castroville; grandchildren, Leandra Ramirez, Vanessa Ramirez, Rhiannon Saenz (AJ), Samantha Ramirez, Roland Gomez, Jr. (Janett), Robert Rey Curiel, Megan Raine Solis, Aiden Michael Solis, Anberlyn Marie Solis, G'Anna Adel Solis, and Geovonni Jaymz Solis-Dews; great-grandchildren, Jewlyssa Idrogo-Gomez, Isaiah Idrogo-Gomez, Alazea Idrogo-Gomez, Amari Solis, Lillianna Wright, Jaxson Curiel, Bryson Strickland, and Leia Saenz; brothers, Carlos Solis, Gene Gomez (Jeanie), Gary Gomez (Margie), and David Guel (Olivia); sisters, Gloria Rodriguez (Camel), Martha Solis, and Alice Ybarra; brother-in-law, Conrado Valderrama.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Apolonio Solis, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Laura Solis Gomez (Eduardo); son, Stephen Solis; twin sister, Ernestina Vidales (Roberto); brothers, Mario Solis, Abram Solis, Ruben Solis, and Juan "Johnny Joe" Solis; and his sisters, Esperanza Solis, Dorothy Solis, and Maria Valderrama

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
