Andrea Garza Salas, of Castroville, Texas, passed away May 19, 2026 at the age of 87. She was born January 24, 1939 in Rio Medina, Texas, to Juan L. Garza and Refugia Delgado Garza.

Survivors include her children, Selma L. Salas of Castroville, Jesus 'Jesse' C. Salas of Castroville, James M. Salas (Becky) of Rio Medina, Sophia L. Salas of La Coste, and Kristine M. Gomez (Fernando) of Castroville; grandchildren, Amanda Salas, Briana Love (Preston), T.J. Salas (Destiny Thomas), Andrew Salas, Kaleb Zertuche, Glen Salas, Nicolina Castillo, and Andrea Zertuche; great-grandson, Christian A. Fernandez; siblings, Francisco Garza (Estela), Christina Aguirre, Alejandra Burell, Lupe Ytuarte, and Mary Jane Daylong; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Cleofas T. Salas.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by The Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
